Big girl!
We just celebrate Paislee's first birthday on the 21st! She got toys, lots of new clothes, sippy cups and a big girl car seat! She loves being able to see where we are driving and just talks non stop now that she can see us! Also Paislee is now in her own bedroom! We had her crib in our room and made an agreement by a year she would be in her own bedroom... Well it was a lot harder than I thought it would be but it's been a few days now and she is doing awesome! Next We are going to Boise to have her big birthday for family and friends in the area, and she is going trick or treating with her daddy and "paapaa" she calls my dad(:

Miners Wife
Not sure if you can read this so ill type it out.
A Miners Wife
A gentle kiss to say goodbye,
He sees the love within her eyes,
Please be careful she will always say, don't worry dear, it'll be okay.
He holds her tight and shows no fear,
She holds him tighter, holds back her tears.
Now out the door to earn his pay, she sits head bowed, begins to pray.
She watches his headlights go out of sight, in early morning, or late at night.
She never knows when he will come home, the work is hard, the days are long.
She tries so hard to hide her fears, keep the children safe and near.
God blessed her heart, he made her tough, with a will so strong, and a gentle touch.
A special woman to share a life, God's special gift, a Miner's wife!!
Tommy Fisher.
I can't put into words how correct this poem is. I am so in love with it, and I know it's not only hard to be a miners wife but also be a miner itself. The saddest part is knowing Paislee is waiting patiently for her daddy to come home but might not see him for 3 or 4 days due to his long hours and her being asleep when he goes to work and comes home from work.
Jamey's visit
Before Jamey headed off to college he got to come spend some time staying with the Hines family. We had a ton of fun, I took him to the horse palace, the mirena, the race track, the archery range and to drive up the canyon. There's not a whole lot out in Spring Creek since it's small so I showed him around some other towns near by. We visited my dad's family who lives here, who Jamey doesn't get to see very often since they live in different states. We also did a lot of shopping around, he found a store he really enjoys in a town, Elko,15 minutes away. We had a bonfire in the backyard almost every night, and boy did he enjoy them. He's a s'mores man so we enjoyed the nice fires roasting marshmallows. We went to one of my favorite restaurants to have their chips and salsa, along with some drinks. I don't think he's as big of a fan of Dos Amigos as I am haha! Paislee really enjoyed her uncle Jamey, and had to beat on his door while he tried to sleep. She also always had to either be climbing on him or sitting on his lap. Jamey enjoyed the archery life around here, Will has gotten into a new (expensive) hobby! He just bought his first bow which Jamey chose not to shoot haha! But he did watch as we shot the targets and laughed as Will shot through the shed. Whoops.
Where we call home
In Spring Creek, it's very small but spread out. Everyone who owns a house out here has acreage instead of feeling like everyone's on top of each other. It is one of my favorite things. SC is in the middle of the desert but we have a set of mountains, Ruby Mountains to be exact, and I have the most gorgeous view of them. We live close to the canyon which is a gorgeous drive to drive. There's plenty of hiking trails and natural lakes to swim in. Another perk of living around here is the joy of wild life. I see more deer than dogs here, and it's something I love. It's definitely a hunting camouflage type of area. We always have deer in our yard we recently had 4 but this picture only shows 3. They're napping in our side yard and enjoying grass to actually relax in. The rest of the area is all sage brush so not very many people actually have a yard.
My birthday!
Yesterday I turned 20, and I got the best present ever!
Last year on my birthday I was in the hospital preparing to be a mom, well this year on my birthday not only was I able to be at home but William and I both got to watch Paislee take her first steps! It was the most exciting thing I've ever whitnessed! I am greatful Will was here to see it also.
On Monday it's time to celebrate Paislees first birthday!! She is growing so much I am so excited to see how she reacts to everything. She will open presents from us on her real birthday but on Saturday we will have a family birthday for the family/friends here in Nevada and then in November she will have her birthday in Boise for the rest of the family and friends. Then we will get to see how much she has grown from her 9 month check up!

Catching up...
It's been months now and I'm sorry for the slacking!
Here we are almost a year later... Let's start over.
I am about to celebrate my 20th birthday, and Paislee Jo about to celebrate her 1st! I am so excited. We are living in Spring Creek, Nevada. Also known as the desert in the middle of a canyon. I still haven't seen a cactus, so maybe I'm not seeing the whole desert ha!
Anyways Will is still working in the gold mine as an underground blaster. So far he is still loving his job, and just recently joined the mine rescue team and has been practicing with the team a lot.
Paislee is climbing on everything and getting into everything.
Getting into my scentsy pot.. And getting the eggs in the refrigerator...
She is almost walking, and loves to talk. She says dada, dad, daddy, mom, mama, hi, woah, wow, huh, what, papa, baba, doddy (doggy), and loves to shake her head no, clap and wave. She is also a little love bug, she loves to give kisses, hold hands, and give hugs. She is super attached to her daddy and loves when he gets home from work.
As for me, I'm a stay at home mom an very busy. We recently rescued our third dog, Khloee she is 10months old, she is a Siberian husky and loves to think she's a lap dog. We have Gunner who is a year old, he is a parson russel terrier and loves to play and give kisses. Then we have Isabelle who is two years old and a total cuddle bug, she isn't much of a playful dog anymore so she's more of a couch potato. We consider them more of our kids than pets... I am planning to be a preschool teacher, and here in a few years plan to run it from home. Other than that I'm busy with keeping up with house work, cooking, being a loving wife and being a mama(:
